I have been shopping at Primark for some time now and when I discovered their makeup range I think I died and went straight to heaven purely because it looks so good and the price is very affordable. I may sound like a bit of a cheap skate but I don’t like paying a lot for makeup or any item really, it’s just the way I am.
I’ve tried quite a few of Primark’s makeup items i.e.. Lipstick, Mascara yada yada you get my drift, so I thought I would show you my favourite ones.
Now where do I start hmm? Primark mascara is honestly one of my favourite things from the Primark makeup range. I have the PS Aqua Lash Mascara and the Volumising Mascara and they are both so good but I love the aqua mascara best I think because A. it applies well due to its small bristles and B. because it gives a full and not clumped up lashes. The PS volumising mascara is really good too, I love how it applies and its bristles are thicker. It does what it says on the packaging. The aqua one is my go to mascara.
I do love a good lipstick and I have quite a few of the Primark lipsticks (you can never have too many right?) they are all in some shade of red. I think I may have a slight red lipstick obsession oops.
The matte one is honestly the most beautiful colour and it stays on for so long. I got it in a set and in the set, it comes with a lip liner too but I mostly use the lipstick and not the lip liner as I need to practice a bit more with It. I don't know the name of the matte one as it doesn't say on the lipstick, sorry guys.
I find there is quite a wide range of Primark lipsticks from reds to brown and I believe there is a colour for everyone.
I love the way the lipsticks glides over the lips and gives and effortless look, they stay on for a whole night and they look WOW.
My favourite colour apart from the matte one is the No11 Midnight, it’s a dark purple. I love the shade of purple and I like the idea of it being a quite outrageous colour.
One lipstick I’m dying to try is the Dark Red matte liquid lipstick as it looks the most gorgeous colour plus I’ve never tried a liquid matte lipstick before.
I have been trying to find a concealer for quite some time and I went with the Primark concealer stick in the colour sand and I just love the idea of it being in a stick as it applies to the skin very nicely and works well .
One thing I would like Primark to do is bring out is a liquid concealer range as they only have the concealer sticks and liquid concealer is meant to be really good.
I have the concealer corrects redness pen but I got that in the sale and I thought for a sale item why not try it and if I’m honest I haven’t had time to try it but in the coming weeks I’m going to try and use it.
Primark do a few eyeshadow palettes and being the makeup lover I am I wanted to try one of them so I brought the 9-shade eye palette and the colours consist of browns and peaches.
I did try the eyeshadow's out but I wasn’t a huge fan of them as they are quite hard to see even after a few layers. The colours are good for base colours or for a light or glittery look.
I have been wanting to try a Primark foundation for a while and I gave in and brought the PS liquid foundation in the colour sand. The foundation has a kind of floral scent to it and I find that quite refreshing.
It applies well and has a nice coverage but compared to my Collection foundation it's quite thick and I find the colour a little dark for my skin but the light shade is too light. What I will do stop making it as dark for my skin is to apply a face cream or moisturizer to the skin and then apply the foundation and it gives a better colour and stops it looking too dark.
I hope that in the future Primark should bring out a wider colour selection of foundation as I find the colours a little basic and not much choice for different skin types. But overall I think it is a good product with a lovely smell, they just need a few more shades.
Primark do a wide variety of brushes from eyeshadow to concealer. I have the 5 pack mini eyeshadow brushes and they are honestly so soft. Being a small brush they get it the creases and they apply the eyeshadow really well.
I love the 4-pack eyeshadow set which come in the prettiest chrome coloured tin. In the set, you get a smudge brush, angled liner brush, large eyeshadow brush and a small eyeshadow brush. Whenever I’m doing my eye makeup I will usually use one or all these brushes. They are my go to brushes for sure.
I love the idea of them being in their own case and they are really useful for a weekend away as they are all the eye brushes you need in one place.
I honestly love the idea of the duo brush which has a concealer brush on one end and at the other a eyeshadow brush, I think this is a really good idea.
My sister brought me the PS foundation brush and I am yet to get around to using it but what I do know is it is really soft on the skin. Once I have I have tried I will update you guys on it.
All the Primark brushes are so soft and work amazingly well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality brush at an affordable price.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this blog as much as I've enjoyed writing it. Please let me know if you try any of these products out, as I'd love to know what you thought of them.
Is there a Primark beauty product that you would like me to check out?
