Hi Everyone, I thought that I would do another one of my blogger the month as it has been ages since I did one and I really enjoyed writing them so I thought why not. If you're new to my blogger of the month well what happens is I share with you lovely lot my favourite blogger who’s post I have really enjoyed reading and who has inspired me. It also includes a Q&A with my blogger of the month as well. Enough of my babbling let’s get started. And drum roll please.... my July blogger of the month is the lovely Jordanne from The life of a Glasgow girl. Here are just a few of the many reasons why I made Jordanne my July blogger of the month.
I hope that as I grow as a blogger I can somewhat be more like Jordanne in the sense that her posts have a real personal touch and for someone to feel inspired like I do when I read Jordanne’s post’s. Here is a little Q&A with the star of this weeks blog, Jordanne. Enjoy!!! Hello Jordanne can you tell my readers a little bit about you?
Hi Mariah, I am a lifestyle blogger based in Glasgow and I blog over at thelifeofaglasgowgirl.co.uk and I cover an array of topics such as lifestyle, beauty, food and more. I started blogging back in 2015 and I haven't looked back since. It's something I am so passionate about and I love that I can do this and still be at home with my son. What's your favourite way to brainstorm content for you blog? To be honest it just comes to me, I used to brain storm at the beginning, I would write down ALL my ideas, no matter how silly I thought they were and would take it from there but now I think of a topic that really relates to me and the post sort of just comes to me. What inspired you to start your blog? I used to read blogs for about a year or so before I started mine and I loved that people had such an open space that was theirs to write about what ever they wanted. After reading them for so long I picked up my Garnier Micellar water and wrote a post about it, the rest just came to me and my blog was born. Do you have any specific goals for your blog? If I am honest, no. I love my blog, I never imagined I would have as many followers/readers as I do and I am beyond grateful for everyone who reads my posts so I never really like to set goals because I am happy where I am and if it grows then that's amazing but if it doesn't, I'm still happy doing what I do. How do you make your photo's look so pretty in posts? To be honest I really don't like my photos all that much ahaha. I am constantly trying to improve my photography skills as that's what I want my career to be, a photographer. I am always trying to find some blog props that fit my style and working out what kind of setting the product needs. Favourite aspect of blogging? My favourite aspect of blogging has to be the fact that I can write what I want, it's my blog, my little slice of the internet where I feel comfortable and I don't ever have to apologise for it. Have you ever had bloggers block and if so how did you get rid of it? I get bloggers block a lot, well, I get this over whelming urge to just not write for a while but when it comes back it comes back strong. I think because I burn myself out with ideas and topics that I just need a break now and then plus running bloggerstribe as well just get's so hectic. My main tip would be just take some "Me" time, keep yourself in good mental health and have a clear head. What’s your advice for beginner bloggers? Join chats!! It's such an amazing thing for bringing bloggers together and making new friends. Also join in with comment threads, find others in your niche, join facebook groups and make sure you get engaging with other. Being supportive and getting support back is my biggest love with blogging. Apart from blogging what else are your passions? Photography, I am always striving to be better at it. I love photos and how you can see the world in a whole new light through others work. What's the favourite post that you've written? I really don't have one favourite but here are two that I am extremely proud of; http://www.thelifeofaglasgowgirl.co.uk/2016/07/15-thoughts-i-have-on-my-periods.html http://www.thelifeofaglasgowgirl.co.uk/2016/12/the-girl-that-lied.html Check out Jordanne's amazing blog here. I would like to thank Jordanne very much for taking part in my Q&A. I have really enjoyed writing this post.
