I love a good TV show and I’m a real sucker for a crime or period drama. I thought I would take this opportunity to share with you my top 5 TV shows that I have been watching recently. I must confess I watch quite a few crime based programmes with murder in it but none the less let’s get started.....
Silent Witness has to be one of my all time favourite shows. I know when January comes it’s Silent Witness time and that makes me very happy. I have been watching this show since I can remember. I think the cast are just fabulous and they make it so enjoyable to watch. I love whole set up of the show and how over 20 years it’s grown into something truly amazing and has never become boring.
I love the whole cast so much they are what makes the show so incredible.
Some episodes I do cringe a bit at the gory bits but I think it’s amazing how they make the prosthetics so realistic but overall I think it’s a very fab show and I can't stop raving about it.
One of the things that drew me to watch this was because Emilia Fox who is in Silent Witness was in it and I have never watched anything else with her in it. I wanted to see what she’d be like in something that wasn’t like Silent Witness and from looking at the trailer it looked right up my street and had the look about it that nothing is as it seems and I knew I had to watch it. I can’t wait to see how the final plays out tonight. I kinda hoped there would have been more though but it has been nice to watch something a bit different.
I love a good crime drama and I liked the way Endeavour takes it all the back to the swinging 60s. It’s nice to see how they would have investigated cases before technology. I know that it isn’t real but I just like the old style feel to it. This is only the second series that I have seen of Endeavour even though there has been three series prior to the latest one but I really enjoyed the last season and I quickly became addicted to it. I love the whole dynamic of the show and I just love the chemistry between Morse and Thursday there a good duo, one of my favourites. One of the things that made me want to watch it even more is that I’m hoping that Joan Thursday and Morse would get together even though she left in the series three finale which broke my heart. I’m hoping that they will reunite this series. Fingers crossed. I do love a good TV romance.
I have been watching midsomer murders for as long as I can remember and I loved it when John Nettles who played the old Barnaby was in it and I was sad when he left six series’s ago but I think it was nice that they put Barnaby's nephew John as the new Barnaby and I think he is a perfect fit, it was a very good decision. I always enjoy every series and the latest series has been no exception it has been JAM packed with some pretty weird murders. Barnaby’s new sidekick Winters is pretty dashing and I was a bit apprehensive of the new sidekick but I think he has fitted in very well and I can’t wait to learn more about him. All I can say is that midsomer is a dangerous place to live. It is a classic Tv show for me, I love it .
If you’ve never watched Hawaii 5-0 then you are seriously missing out on some eye candy and a fast paced police drama. Each series it takes you on a rollercoaster and they’ll usually be a few sub storylines which are JAM packed. Another of my favourite things about Hawaii 5-0 is the characters, I love finding out new things about each one of them I find it very intriguing plus I like being nosey. They are all so bad ass and most of the time I wish I was in the five o task force. The action or car chases are so well put together and give you a real adrenaline rush. Steve Mcgarrett played by the amazing Alex O'Loughlin is my favourite character, he is pretty buff which makes watching it even the more enjoyable. The cast are incredible.
I would highly recommend checking out these TV shows, if you do check any of them out please let me know what you thought of them as I'd love to hear from you.
