Seeing as tomorrow it’s Father’s Day I thought I would do a father’s day blog about you guessed it my amazing dad and why I think he’s AMAZING.
You know what I feel so lucky to call him my dad because he is so loving, funny, inspiring and is not a bad singer either. When I was younger I loved my dad driving Kloe and I to school because I knew we'd jam to some top tunes on the way and if we were lucky on the way home he'd share some of his biscuits with us.
I have so many happy memories of my dad from when I was little running around the garden and him trying to catch Kloe and I to him coming on a school trip and making the other kids laugh. I have loved showing my dad off because I’m so proud of him. Of course, he can sometimes embarrass me but that’s part of a dad’s role, right?
My dad is currently training to be an HGV driver and I couldn’t be prouder of him for doing something he has wanted to do for so long and not letting anything stop him. And I feel like this has really inspired me and is a reminder to always tell myself it’s never too late to learn something new.
My dad and I have always been very close and I think that’s because we are very similar. We both can get quite emotional about things and we both worry about silly stuff. I love that me and my dad love music so much and he has taught me so much about it from who sings what to interesting facts about different artists and I sometimes refer to my dad as the musical encyclopaedia because whenever a song comes on I can almost always guarantee he knows it and my dad has kind of passed that onto me even if I’m nowhere nearly as good as he is.
