Hi Everyone, It’s been a while hasn’t it? But I just wanted to share with you an amazing adventure I went on Thursday the 7th of September. I went on a buggy safari with my family and In this blog I will share with you this amazing adventure. I hope you enjoy.... My family and I love a good adventure so we thought we'd try a buggy safari and we'd looked at a few companies but only one caught my eye, Algarve Buggy Tours I just thought they looked really professional from what I'd seen on there website and there YouTube page was very helpful as it showed what is was really like and for someone like me who had never done it before it was very helpful. Algarve buggy Tours do several tours and we opted for the buggy safari tour (Three hours) as we wanted to see more of the Algarve that we had never seen before as we have been going to Portugal on holidays for the past ten years and we just really wanted to see more of the breath taking views and things we had never seen before. Once at the destination of where we would be setting off from we filled in a form and then there was a safety briefing which I found very helpful as it showed how to handle the buggies safely and we were given helmets, dusk masks and hair nets. We would we doing a mixture of off road and tarmac roads all of which are public roads. I’m not going to lie I had trouble with the buggy in the first hour I wasn’t use to having no para steering and there were a few corners on one which I had to let it roll back because I hadn’t steered enough and it was hard getting use to the buggy and trying to make sure I was close to the buggy in front so our very nice tour guide could see everyone. An hour and a half in we had a break I’m not sure how long for and we stopped in this pretty village and had a drink and we could go to this shop in which you could try some liquors and jams but we opted out as we have many at home. When we stopped I couldn’t believe how dusty I was I thought that I would only get a little bit but I was covered. I love the little village we stopped in it was so pretty with the church and it was nice seeing a traditional Portuguese village. On the second part of the drive I definitely got into things more and I was handling the corners much better and keeping my speed up and all I could think is I don’t want this to end. At one point we were going down these steep hills but they were pretty rocky but the view was something else and a sight I’ll never forget. We did this little circuit which was kind of like a round about all twisty but I really liked doing all the turns but I think my mum thought we were lost but I was honestly having the best time I didn’t mind if we were lost and then we went around this home made track kind of thing which had these big humps in which I loved going over.
Also what I thought was pretty amazing too was that we got three hours driving plus a break and I thought that the break would be included in the three hours but it wasn’t, so this definitely got a big thumps up. I can’t thank all the staff enough for a truly incredible experience and for making the adventure so fun and for really showing us some pretty beautiful views and more of the Algarve. I would definitely recommend Algarve Buggy Tours to anyone wanting a fun experience or just wanting to drive a buggy because they take great care and give you an amazing experience with long lasting memories. My family and I have already planned to go on another buggy tour in the winter when it’s not as dusty and I honestly can’t wait. Check out there webtsite here I really hope you have enjoyed this post and I look forward to sharing more of my adventures with you. All my love Mariah Xx
