Hi Everyone, On Thursday morning I did something I have always wanted to do, Parasailing. And in this post I will be telling you about this amazing and fun experience. Be warned for lots of photos and me babbling. I've always fancied parasailing but never gave it much thought really as I didn't think I'd do it and it kind of fizzled out of my head but then my sister Sharn's boyfriend Martin brought up the idea as he wanted to take Dannii their daughter aka my beautiful niece parasailing, enough of my family tree back to the post. So Kloe and I thought why not let’s do it. On Thursday morning we headed to Vilamoura Marina and we had to be there fifteen minutes before to get our life jackets etc. At half past nine it was time to go and I honestly felt so excited that this was about to happen. At the boat we got our harness on which you step into two pieces which go around your legs which support you once your in the air and it straps around your waist and two long bits at the side clip onto the bar which is attached to the parasail. Once on the boat our instructors Cristiano and David which were pretty cute were introduced to us and David explained the safety details like how your legs should be when entering the water and on landing and made us feel so relaxed. It was only a short distance from the marina. Kloe and I went third as I didn’t want to be first because I wanted to see how it was done and what to expect. When it was our turn we sat down on this bulls eye platform which you take off/land onto and got clipped up and then it was time and my heart was beating and I was so excited, we got given a go pro to film our experience with and David our instructor also took photos which I was so excited to see and to keep to remember the amazing experience by. Kloe and I giggled on take off and didn’t really stop laughing and talking much on the 10 minute flight and I couldn’t believe the breath taking view at 200 metres and all that I could see. We got dunked into the water three times and what I mean by dunked is we were lowered into the water meaning we got wet but it was so nice and refreshing and on one of the times I got a mouthful of sea water which tasted salty and even after being dunked Kloe and I were still laughing. After it had finished I immediately wanted to again and I would jump at the chance to do it again because it was such a fun experience and I’m glad that I got to experience it with Kloe and I honestly made some life long memories and I would love to do it in other parts of Portugal and the rest of the world.
I can't thank David and Cristiano for keeping us safe and for making the experience so amazing by being so lovely but also for explaining it so thoroughly and I will never forget it. I will leave links for the company we parasailed with below. I hope I haven't gone to much round the houses to explain my parasailing experience and I really hope you have enjoyed reading this post. Check out Algarve Xcite here. All my love Mariah Xx
